EQUINE BODYWORK
More than 60% of a horse’s body mass is muscle tissue. Equine Bodywork is just that – the manipulation of these tissues, working to resolve issues rather than treat symptoms. This type of work is non invasive, it helps prevents injury and speeds up recovery time in already injured horses. While you strive to increase strength, speed and resistance in your horse, you lose flexibility and develop muscle tension. With Equine Bodywork relieves these issues, and others like:
- A direct blow or hit, overuse, and repetition of a movement
- Stretching, flexing, torn muscles, lack of coordination
- Structural imbalance, conformation problems, shoeing problems, poor nutrition
- Poor riding skills, ill saddle fitting, tack restrictions,
- Back problems, behavioral problems like wind sucking or nervousness
- Doesn’t like being groomed or saddled
- Incorrect lead changes, drops shoulder, short stride, throws head, bucking, kicking
- Soreness from an old injury, or problems that your vet hasn’t been able to fix
… and many others
Among some of the benefits of Equine Bodywork: it balances the equine body structure, relaxes tense muscles, betters joint movement, stimulates the lymph system, eliminates toxins, prevents injury, increases flexibility, increases softness in body movement, increases blood circulation and thus the digestive and immune system, can change a horse’s attitude, speeds up recovery, helps to soothe and comfort behavioral and physical problems arising from ill-fitting saddle.
